It isn't even the afternoon and I've been having such an amazing day... seriously. I got up early, left early for school and received many comments from people I don't even know on my newly-colored hair, and then I come home to this!

I LOVE THE COLORS! Omg, they're so light and fluffy and I'm all PIINK~~! I heart pink more than any girl should be allowed. <3

And the background is amazing, too, so don't dislike it~ It makes me think of Rainbow Sherbet Ice-Cream.

A fine display of work improved work which represents the excellent skill you have brought to your characters and work in general.

The characters have expanded greatly here and the differneces between the two designs stands out her greatly and shows improvements in your postures. It really brings out the feeling of comfort in the work and the care that is shared between the characters.

The presentation of colour here is unique as you have use warm colours for both the line art and main colour. It works here and adds a nice aura of calmness and the quick shading gives them eccentric appearance.

You have really shown vast improvements in your work and how you have nurtured and expanded on your qualities of digital.

Keep it up.

Thanks Mr. Ambassador! I'm thrilled with how Affy came out, but I'm still considering Sev's design as a WIP... feeling better about him in this picture than I did before, but I still want to do a detailed pic later where I'm really trying.
Glad you like the style. I was looking for something simple and fun I could do without thinking too hard or investing lots of time This was birthed!

Naw, I didn't have to do this, but that's why it was a surprise I've actually been wanting to do a bunch of tribute drawings to artists I like here, you were amongst those on the top of the list. I wanted to draw Affy somehow or another! But when you posted that thing with all those depressing messages about yourself, I thought it had to be the perfect time to make you something nice so you can smile. Alas, as soon as you replied back on my original comment, it was evident you weren't so upset anymore. But I'd already started scheming...

I think that's actually what I dislike about Sev here, he's not supposed to be so cute! But I didn't mind it 'cuz I knew that's what you liked about him in the first pic I put on DA of him.
As for me drawing Affy cuter than you, I don't think so! Part of why I've been wanting to draw her, I love how you do it! Just 'cause I maybe nailed one pose in a single pic of her doesn't mean I can draw her better than you I literally had your DevID open side-by-side with this so I could reference the snot out of it. I love how you capture the anime/manga style with her. But needless to say, I'm delighted to hear your approval on how she looks. I tried

Meh, I'm still not thrilled with the background, it's two colored blobs, a filter, and a gradient. Not enough work involved... but I do remember liking Rainbow Sherbet all kinds when I was a kid So that's funny you say it reminds you of that.

Oh! And I forgot, I wanted to give you a link to the original tablet sketch I made in black and white. I think the shading looks way better there, especially on you.
I'll have you know, this is the first 100% tablet-drawn pic I've done that I've liked. I never even finish the other completely digital stuff I've been experimenting with, I usually always have to start on paper.

Frankly, I'm thinking that improving my digital prowess is the only chance I have at being a decent artist. I'm not good enough at traditional methods to such an extreme that it'd take way too much time and effort for me to learn how to make stuff that'd even equal, not to mention look better, than what I can currently do digitally. And I'm having pretty good success in disecting what I see in other artists and experimenting with stuff on my own, I can honestly say each digital pic I do is different/better than the last. And I take a small ammount of pride in that. I've come light-years from where I was when I first came online here in 2006, and I'm not gonna deny what I can do with a little determination and focus.
